transformative education in collaborative robotics and circular economy

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the CROCEMS pilot program, which ran from early November for approximately 6 weeks. During this time, over 110 individuals registered, with around 90 actively engaging in the course. The 6 modules of the CROCEMS program were thoroughly tested, and modules 1, 3, 4, and 6 emerged as the most popular among participants. While most users came from consortium countries (Austria, Germany, Poland and Spain), the program also attracted participants from other nations, such as Mexico and France, demonstrating its global appeal.

The educational initiative incorporates cutting-edge technologies, ranging from video lectures to digital curriculums, to deliver an agile, adaptive, and student-centered approach to learning. The CROCEMS e-learning platform is built on Moodle, a widely used open-source learning management system.

The CROCEMS project has developed comprehensive didactic materials across 6 modules:

  1. Collaborative Robotics Basics – Modular Design & Behaviour.
  2. Sustainability & Circular Economy in Manufacturing Sectors.
  3. Lean Robotics Methodology.
  4. Circular Business Models for Waste Management.
  5. Circular Strategy Mapping & Value Networks for Waste Management.
  6. Product Deployment Cycle & Ecodesign.

As the pilot phase concludes, the consortium is now focused on analyzing the feedback from over 70 evaluation questionnaires. These insights will play a pivotal role in refining both the CROCEMS course and the MOOC platform in the coming weeks. The goal is to enhance the program further, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of trainees and industry stakeholders.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their dedication and feedback. Together, we are shaping a future where collaborative robotics and circular economy principles drive sustainable innovation in manufacturing sectors. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to improve and expand the CROCEMS program!
