CROCEMS is an ERASMUS+ project, that aims to fill a gap in vocational education and training and create a new course focusing on the introduction of circular economy in manufacturing sectors by using collaborative robotics to perform waste management.
The final purpose of the project is to deliver a comprehensive training course on how to apply collaborative robotics to circular economy processes (sensor planning system for vision, reusable piece-recognition or disassembly of valuable materials) in order to boost the most effective waste management in European Manufacturing Sectors, helping to reduce its impact while creating job positions, enabling new manufacturing processes, business models and industrial symbiosis.
The project duration: February 2022 – February 2025.
The objectives of CROCEMS
- develop partnerships amongst educators, businesses, manufacturers and stakeholders with the purpose of supporting VET learners in acquiring, developing skills and key competences in circular economy and usage of collaborative robotics;
- introduce open education and innovative digital practices, make education available for all and facilitate new learning methods, by development of a new e-learning platform developed to assist the integration of circular economy in manufacturing sector issues through companies activities and manpower;
- facilitation of the recognition and validation of competences for the CROCEMS learners, covering the needs of manufacturing sector, by the creation of an innovative VET course including gamification aspects.
The international consortium of 5 partners from 4 European countries, under the coordination of the Technological Centre of Furniture and Wood of the Region of Murcia, will develop 3 project results:
